Mental health & supportYour wellbeing
deserves attention.
Support for parents and families facing difficult days, whether you want someone to listen, practical information or professional help.
Need help now?
If someone’s life is at risk, or you are unable to keep yourself or someone else safe, call 999 or go to A&E. In England, for urgent mental health help, call 111 and select the mental health option.
NHS urgent-help guidance. This project does not provide crisis care or monitor messages for emergencies.
What the evidence showsRecognise the pressure.
Keep the context.
14.1%Low happiness among separated adults
Compared with 6.2% of married adults in the ONS UK survey for April 2022–March 2023. “Low” means a rating of 0–4 out of 10.
ONS, Figure 7 · Published November 2023. Older evidence about marital status, not specifically parents apart from children.
22.6%Common mental health conditions
Among adults aged 16–64 in England in 2023/24, up from 18.9% in 2014. This is general-population context, not a statistic about separated families.
NHS England: Adult Psychiatric Morbidity Survey 2023/24.
The ONS comparison shows an association, not proof of cause or a diagnosis. Its detailed release is paused because of survey-quality challenges. Individual experiences vary.

Support with everyday life
You deserve
somewhere to turn.
A listening service offers space to talk. Peer groups offer connection. A GP or mental health professional helps assess symptoms and discuss treatment.
Choose the route which fits your needs today. A fitness challenge is part of this project’s fundraising, not a replacement for mental health care.
